I’m Laura, an IGCSE English Language tutor based near Madrid. I previously taught in a bilingual secondary school and now work online with students across Spain. I focus on reading papers, summary questions and exam-style writing tasks, always tied to the mark scheme. I also help students who sit their exams as private candidates, building a clear study plan when school support is limited or patchy.

I tutor IGCSE English Language full time and most of my students are at British schools along the Costa del Sol. Lessons usually revolve around close reading, transactional writing and timed practice so that exam conditions feel familiar rather than stressful, and I’m happy to review rough drafts between lessons by email or shared docs.

Currently completing a Linguistics degree in Barcelona and tutoring IGCSE English Language in the evenings. I tend to work with students who are comfortable speaking English but find formal writing hard. We look closely at sentence structure, tone and planning essays so they can move from vague ideas to clear paragraphs, and I often set short weekly writing tasks to build steady progress.
