Hi, I’m Miguel, a Chemistry teacher at a British school near Alicante who also tutors IGCSE Chemistry online. I’ve been teaching the syllabus for over 10 years and know the usual problem topics: moles, redox and organic reactions. In lessons we tackle current classwork first, then build in past-paper practice, so everything we do is directly linked to how the exam will test you in each paper section.

I tend to work with students who feel lost once equations appear. We spend time setting out calculations slowly, checking units and rounding carefully. I encourage students to talk through their reasoning out loud so we can catch errors early rather than right before the exam season starts. Many students message me after school to check worked examples we covered.

I live in Granada and tutor IGCSE Chemistry full time after several years teaching in an international school. Many of my students are sitting their exams as private candidates, so I help them structure the year with topic checklists and realistic deadlines. I particularly enjoy explaining energetics and equilibrium using everyday examples, which makes the graphs and data less intimidating overall.
